BIRDSONG AT SLIMBRIDGE, GLOS.
3 nights 9/10/11th May

Accommodation - Wild Goose Lodge
Cost - Students £275, Guides £225
A course for the serious birder and limited to 7 students and 7 guides.  3 mornings of rising early for a 2.5 hour of listening to birds with an expert.  Guide dogs are discouraged from this early morning trip if possible.   Free time at Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust Centre, 2 afternoons of birding at different locations.  One home cooked meal and 2 pub evening meals.

ELGAR - THE SAVIOUR OF BRITISH MUSIC

4 nights 6-10th August

DUDLEY NR.BIRMINGHAM - INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE
4 nights 11-14th October
Accommodation at Village Hotel, Dudley
Cost - Students £340,  Guides £280
Visits to The Black Country Museum, a reconstructed village with houses, school, shops, pub, mine, forge etc.  A canal boat trip into a tunnel.  History of glass making etc.
This course will probably involve walking about 20 minutes to venues on 2 of the days and being outside for most of the day at the Museum so a certain degree of fitness is required.
